I am a research natzi & researched places to stay & things to do for about 2-3months before hand (especially being 1st time in Broome) & have to say Loved this place….nice & quiet with only 3 bungalows surrounding the beautiful pool. Only a short walk through a gorgeous park to Cable Beach & a couple of Restaurants/cafes (did this walk every morning before breakfast as well as to get to cable beach & restaurants). Bungalows are simple but nice..everything you need. Showers are my simple pleasure & it was very very pleasurable! The dvd player in the tv was very handy when we wanted a lazy day too after the Broome Cup! And don’t forget the BBQ on your little deck, just have to let Brad know you would like to have a BBQ & he supplies you with cutlery, plates & oil. After you’re done just leave on breakfast table & they will do the dishes & clean the BBQ. Only reccommendation for Broome is to buy insect repellant & if they supplied mozzie/insect candles/coils in the bungalows as forgot about the lovely Sand Flies up north & got bitten. But definitely the best value for money, espec during peak season & including breakfast.
Loved this place so much have booked already for next year & recommended to other ppl I know travelling to this destination soon, so you better get in quick
You’re coming to Broome! You will love Cable Beach. You will need to be close. Our mini resort is just a short walk, through a beautiful park, from the surf, sand and sunset.
B&B or Mini Resort?
Barefoot Bungalows has a bed and breakfast but we are much more than that.

I really liked my room at Barefoot Bungalows. I was invited to a wedding in Broome and couldn’t get into the wedding party’s resort so did a little Google around in the Cable Beach area when I came upon a B&B nearby. I have never stayed in a B&B, and thought that it wouldn’t be too naff since I would be hanging at the wedding anyway. Well, was I surprised!! This B&B was much better than the big expensive resort. Quiet. Pool shared with 4 other people (in fact only saw them at breakfast). My own deck right outside my room. I called it a mini resort (but found I wasn’t the first). Look, the only downside (and this is small) is that the beach is 1k away. Didn’t matter as Barefoot lent me a bike free to go where I wanted.
We are an Exclusive "Mini" Resort. With only three rooms and a possibility of only six guests maximum you can be assured that you will be taken care of.
Take a look at our room pictures. Huge bathroom, timber everywhere, private everything.
Old Broometime Pearler style bungalow near the pool.
More of a wonderful personal oasis than a bunglow. Pool was like a spa after long hot days. Stayed for two nights and it lived up to all expectations and more. Up to date amenities and immaculately clean. Brad was very helpful on reccommending and booking tours beforehand so we didn't waste our precious holiday time. Walking distance to one of the best beaches on the Western Coast.
Great value with off season pricing and would highly reccommend over a hotel or resort in the area.
Stayed for one night in October due to flight delay. The best find - so glad I found it and will stay again. Booked directly with owner for value off season price. Very friendly and helpful owner/host. Beautifully designed accomodation with attention to detail with unique features of the destination - loved the wrought iron gecko door handles.
Three fully detached seperate bungalows sit around the main house and pool. Each bungalow has own deck and outdoor bbq. Polished timber floors queen bed, flat screen tv, aircon, fans and screened windows. Oversize designer bathroon with luxury towels. Highly recommended.
*Breakfast is not available during the wet season (Oct to end of March) as our prices are very competitive (As low as $99/night if you stayed 7 nights!)
